Peggy Ann (Gibson) Compton

Peggy Ann Compton, age 68, of Prestonsburg, KY, widow of Roy Compton, passed away February 20, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY.  She was born August 16, 1955 in Prestonsburg, KY, a daughter of the late Leroy and Bonnie Gardner Gibson.  She was retired from the Floyd County Court Clerks Office.

She is survived by two daughters; Royce (Chad Wallace) Compton and Pamela Chastine (Jimmy) Branham, all of Prestonsburg, KY, one sister; Patricia (Joe) Walters, Wolcott, IN, three grandchildren; Emma Grace Compton, Addison Branham and Preston Robinson.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Roy Compton and son; Keith Kidd.

Funeral service will conducted Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Waugh officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
